Leonardo Hotels, Europe’s largest and fastest growing hotel chain…

…opened its first hotel in Manchester in May 2022. It boasts an eye-catching exterior, inspired by Milan’s Bosco Verticale (vertical forest) tower blocks, which saw the hotel win a design award from the Manchester Society of Architects before it opened its doors.

ECHO worked with Leonardo on a pre-launch, launch and post-launch campaign, providing media relations, event management and influencer engagement.

Objective

Located in Manchester’s new Piccadilly East neighbourhood…

…driving awareness and ultimately footfall to the new hotel was the primary objective of our campaign. A focus on its USPs, including its eye-capturing Jenga-style design, and its attention to mindfulness were key messages in all communications, with bespoke Jenga blocks sent out to press and a yoga event in the mindfulness suite for press and influencers. 

As well as coverage in local and trade press, Leonardo Hotel Piccadilly was featured in The Telegraph and The Sun.
